 . . .Tropical Depression # 15 forms in the Caribbean. . .

A large area of showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure has become Tropical Depression # 15 in the eastern Caribbean. The system is forecast to become better organized, and strengthen into Tropical Storm Omar sometime within the next 24 hours. It will move to the NE and over Puerto Rico. Once it moves into the Atlantic Ocean, it is forecast to become a minimal hurricane, and continue its track out to sea.  The Hurricane Hunters will fly into this system this afternoon to get a true feel on how strong it is.

Nana has weakened to a Tropical Depression, and will become just a remnant low by tonight as it stay out to sea. Strong wind shear has ripped the storm apart.

There is also another large area of showers and thunderstorms in the western Caribbean.  Conditions are favorable for development here, and a Hurricane Hunter Aircraft is scheduled to investigate this system tomorrow, if necessary.  This system could become a tropical depression as well.
