January 19th Weather Discussion

  • By CHRIS STEVENS

It’s going to be another good looking day with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures rebounding into the lower 70s.  The only fault in today’s weather is that it will be on the breezy side with strong south winds around 10 to 20 miles per hour this afternoon.  In addition to bringing warmer temperatures, these strong winds will also usher in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico .

Tomorrow our weather will undergo another round of changes.  A cold front to our northwest will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow evening.  This cold front will stall out once it reaches the Deep South .  That will result in unsettled weather through the weekend.  Scattered rain showers will again be possible on Saturday and Sunday.
