WEATHER BLOG

Weather Discussion

  • By CHRIS STEVENS

Weekend Update

Last night’s showers and thunderstorms were set off by a fast moving cold front that slid across South Louisiana. Today we felt the effects of that cold front as highs only made it into the lower 70s. Tonight will turn chilly as temperatures fall off into the 40s. The cooling trend will continue tomorrow as highs won’t even make it into the 70s across much of the News 2 viewing area. Tomorrow night a reinforcing shot of cold air will move in from the north and as a result most areas will fall off into the upper 30s. The cold weather will stick around for a few more days as highs will only top out in the mid to upper 60s through Tuesday.
