Weather Discussion

Weekend Update

It is definitely starting to feel more like spring around South Louisiana. Even though the high temperature in Baton Rouge didn’t even hit the 80 degree mark today it felt a lot warmer because it was so humid. In addition to the heat and humidity we also had to dodge the rain drops today as a cold front stalled out over Louisiana. Tomorrow that front will retreat to our north. As a result it the heat will stick around but any rain that does fall will be more isolated in nature. The cold front will wash out on Monday, but another cold front will develop to our northwest. This will roll through on Tuesday and bring isolated showers and storms on Monday and a more widespread rain event on Tuesday. High temperatures will hold steady in the lower 80s during this period.
