A Cool Start to the Week
This afternoon temperatures failed to make it out of the 60s. The cooler weather was the result of a cold front that moved through the area last night. Tonight we will get into the heart of that cold air mass as temperatures fall off into the lower 40s. Tomorrow will be the coldest day that we’ve seen in about two weeks as highs will struggle to make it into the mid 60s. The good news is that despite the cooler temperatures we will see and abundance of sunshine as an area of high pressure drifts overhead. Cold temperatures are on tap again tomorrow night with lows falling off into the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Another Warm Up on the Way
Once again the cool weather will not stick around for long. As the high pressure system responsible for tomorrow’s sunshine pushes off to the east, south winds on the backside of that high will bring warmer weather for the next few days. Highs will rebound into the lower 70s on Tuesday and by Thursday we will be flirting with the 80 degree mark. The weather will remain quiet with plenty of sunshine Tuesday through Friday.

A Few Showers to End the Week
Friday will be the warmest day of the week as highs top out in the lower 80s. Clouds will also be on the increase Friday and by late afternoon we could be dodging the rain drops as a cold front pushes into the northern part of the state. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible on Saturday as that front rolls through South Louisiana. This cold front will knock our temperatures down by a few degrees and highs will only top out in the mid 70s both days next weekend.
