Short Term:  We are starting off this Monday morning with partly cloudy skies, and seasonal temperatures in the upper 40s.  There are also a few areas of patchy fog, so be careful if you run into that today.

This afternoon will be one with a mix of clouds and sun.  Some showers will be possible as a weak disturbance/cold front moves out of Texas and toward the Deep South.  Also, an area of low pressure will develop along the Texas coast, and head toward Louisiana.  This will give us a stray shower into the afternoon for about 20% of the area.  It will be a mild day with highs in the upper 60s.

Tonight, that disturbance and low will move across our area.  This will give us mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers.  A few thunderstorms are possible as well.  Lows will be in the lower 50s.

Week Ahead:  On Tuesday, the low and cold front will be moving east, but still giving us scattered showers for the first part of the day.  Then during the afternoon, the rain will end as the front moves through, and we will have partly sunny skies.  Temperatures will be in the upper 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday look to be very nice with partly cloudy skies, and it will be warmer too.  Highs will be in the lower 70s.  On Thursday night, another disturbance will move by, and that will give us a few showers.  These showers will linger into Friday morning before moving out of Baton Rouge.  Then it will be partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70s.

An Early Look at the Weekend:  Nice weather is expected with partly cloudy skies, and unseasonably warm temperatures.  Highs will be in the mid and upper 70s both Saturday and Sunday.
