WEATHER BLOG

Weather Discussion

Weekend Update

An area of high pressure to our east and a warm front moving in from the west brought us a day of sunshine and high temperatures near 80 degrees.  South winds will draw in moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and will cause our humidity to increase overnight.  That will cause patchy fog to develop after midnight.  Tomorrow we can expect a repeat of today’s weather.  Once again we will see more sun than clouds as temperatures rebound into the upper 70s to lower 80s.

The beautiful weather will come to an end on Monday as a cold front pushes into the state.  This will bring showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Some of these storms will have the potential to turn severe.  By Tuesday that front will push off to the east and highs won’t even make it out of the 50s.  Temperatures will start to moderate again on Wednesday.
