Senate pushes through pay raise
Despite your objections, state lawmakers voted to give themselves a pay raise on Monday. Gov. Bobby Jindal is now the only person who can stop the bill from passing, but the governor said Monday he won't veto it. Some lawmakers say they have opposed the pay raises from the start and that it wouldn't be right to take the money and run.

    Well SOS with the politicians. If they are not on welfare they vote themselvews pay raises for themseleves immediately because the know they are good bye legislators next election. IT'S A CRYING SHAME WE HAVE TO PAY FULL TIME SALARIES FOR A PART TIME JOB THEY KNEW WHEN THEY RAN FOR THE POSITION. WHERE'S THE GTREAT WHERE IS THE GREAT EX-GOVERNOR FOSTER'S SLASHER OF CUTS , THE NEXT EX-GOVERNOR JINDAL.!!!!!!

    I have never been more upset than I am right now because how our Gov. and legislatures have proved to their constituents that they could care less how we feel about our neighbors living in the streets, with no jobs. I would not blame the teachers, firemen, and policemen and any other public servants that have been trying to get a raise for yrs. and instead our leaders(ha)doubled their salaries. They sacrificed changing it from triple to double. Jindahl wants our children to stay in La. but if they have any concern for their welfare they will go to a state that cares about their futures because its obvious our leaders are pretty selfish. I am so sorry for our people who are suffering(I am a victim of multiple sclerosis). How does the old saying goes...EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY!!!! Our dogs will get theirs in 4 yrs. Enjoy that big raise while you can, because I doubt that it will be there for you after next election.
