GONZALES — A section of Black Bayou Road will be closed today through Monday so drainage pipes can be replaced, Ascension Parish government officials said.
Black Bayou Road, also known as La. 934, about one-half mile west of La. 431, will be closed from 6 a.m. today to 5 a.m. Monday, parish officials said in a recent statement.
The state Department of Transportation and Development is handling the project, parish officials said.
New, longer concrete pipes will replace the cross drain pipes under the road, parish officials said.
Drivers are asked to use La. 621 as an alternate route.
