Abilities: Helping Kids Succeed announces summer group programs for all children. These group programs have limited enrollment and are designed to enhance learning while having fun. At Abilities, our job is to help all kids succeed, so we have created group programs for fun reading, writing, bicycle riding, dancing, social skills, math, social studies and even a group for picky eaters.
Academic programs for kids in pre-K to pre-college. Camps run throughout June and July. Online registration begins April 6th.
Camp Fern is a residential summer camp for children ages 6 to 16. Founded on Christian principles with respect for all faiths, Camp Fern has four summer sessions: a one week co-ed, four weeks for girls, four weeks for boys, and a two week co-ed session.

An eight week session designed to give children K-8th grade remedial help in a different educational setting such as group discussion and other learning experiences; 7:30 am-12:00 noon. The recreational program has an eight week schedule which includes indoor and outdoor sports as well as quiet games and movies for the children. 12:00 noon to 5:30 p.m. For East and West Baton Rouge and Iberville parishes. $10 Registration (nonrefundable);$60 weekly. Playmakers offers affordable drama camps held at Playmakersí Rehearsal Hall located on N. Harrellís Ferry. Camps include: the 4-day Summer Kick-off for kids finishing 1st ñ 5th grade, The Youth Company Studio for ages 12 to 17 (Entry by audition only), the 2-week Playmakers Theatre Camps sessions for ages 6-13, and the 1-week Mini Theatre Camp for the Mini Performer for ages 4-5. Range from $115 to $315. Extended Care is offered for an extra charge. Camps begin May 26th and are scheduled through July 31st. Registration is ended 2 weeks before the start date of each camp or when the camp reaches full capacity.

Exerfitís Extreme Summer Day Camp is a great way for your child to stay active this summer, make new friends, and learn about health and fitness. Activities are designed to fully engage children in cardio games, balance and stretching programs, motor skills, and hand eye coordination development. Your child will have the opportunity to be active, creative, and learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. Exerfit has also teamed up with Crawfish Aquatics to provide your child with the ultimate day camp experience. Children can enjoy the full range of activities in Exerfitís Extreme Day Camp and receive swimming lessons through the #1 swimming program, Crawfish Aquatics. This is a great opportunity for those children who havenít yet become swimmers, or for older children to improve their skills. Swimming lessons are two weeks, Monday through Thursday. Daily activities will include cardio and educational games, inflatable play, swimming, volleyball, soccer, art, rock wall climbing, and much more.
