Kristy Davis is a general assignment reporter for WBRZ. She joined the station as an intern in the summer of 2006.
Kristy graduated from LSU with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in history. She says she enjoys her career because “Journalism provides the opportunity to get outside, to learn something new everyday, to talk to people and most of all to listen to people and give them a voice.”
Before joining WBRZ, Kristy gained experience as an intern with KING TV in Seattle, Washington and TXCN in Dallas, Texas. She also worked for MTV as a correspondent during the 2004 presidential election and served as an anchor at LSU’s Tiger TV.
Kristy is currently a Baton Rouge resident. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and was raised in Carrollton, Texas. When she’s not working, Kristy enjoys listening to live jazz music, playing the piano, volunteering and watching LSU football and the Dallas Cowboys.
