Mike Steele

Mike Steele is a WBRZ news reporter. He joined the WBRZ News 2 Louisiana team in February of 2008.
A Baton Rouge native, Mike attended Bethany Christian School in Baker, after which he obtained a degree in mass communications from Southern University.
After college, Mike decided to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. Before coming to WBRZ, Mike worked as a Weather Forecaster/Anchor for KLAX-TV in Alexandria and as a City Reporter/Weekend Anchor for KLFY-TV is Lafayette.
Mike says, “I was always fascinated by the news industry. Even when I was very young, I always appreciated accurate and fair reporting.”
Mike and his family reside in Denham Springs. In his spare time he also enjoys playing and watching sports (especially golf), deer hunting, and spending time with his family, including his wife Lori and his two children.
