  • Published: Nov 1, 2009

Top teams from three classifications help highlight the final regular-season meet for the Capital City Swim League today.

Catholic High of Division I-Class 5A, St. Joseph’s Academy of Division I, Lutcher of Division II-4A and Episcopal of Division IV-Classes 2A and below are all entered.

A total of 16 schools are entered in the meet that is scheduled to begin at about 1 p.m. at the Crawfish Aquatics pool.

Lutcher, winner of the Division III-Class 3A boys state title this season, is in its first season of Division II competition and has posted a series of wins this season.

Catholic (boys) and SJA (girls) are unbeaten on the season. Both teams finished as the Division I runners-up last season.

The Bulldogs, Catholic and Baton Rouge High are expected to help lead the list of boys teams vying for top honors at next weekend’s Capital City Swim League Championships. St. Joseph’s and University are expected to help lead the list of girls teams.

Other teams entered in the meet that will feature 22 events — 11 each for boys and girls — are Dunham, Zachary, McKinley, Woodlawn, Denham Springs, Dutchtown, Redemptorist, Runnels, St. Michael, Central and West Feliciana.
