Hahnville beats St. Amant

ST. AMANT — Alfred Blue ran for four touchdowns as third-ranked Hahnville took over first place in District 6-5A with a 35-21 win over St. Amant Friday night.
Blue scored on runs of 37, 10 and 69 yards to give Hahnville (8-1, 4-0 in district) a 20-0 first half lead.
St. Amant’s Tyler Guillory threw an 18-yard scoring pass to Tre Vaughan to cut the lead to 20-7.
Britton Day scored on a 6-yard run to cut the lead to 20-14. The Gators took the lead on a 1-yard run by Nelson Jointer in the fourth quarter but Hahnville came roaring back with a 4-yard scoring run by Blue and a 69-yard run by Lloyd Richard to wrap up the win.
St. Amant dropped to 5-4 and 0-4.
DESTREHAN 22, EAST ASCENSION 10: In Destrehan, Taylor Dunn threw three touchdown passes as Destrehan (4-5) evened its District 6-5A record at 2-2.
East Ascension (4-5, 1-3) jumped out to an early 7-0 lead on a 2-yard run by Avery Williams but it was all Destrehan after that.
Dunn connected with Rickey Jefferson on a 32-yard pass to tied the game and a 48-yarder to Henry Lenox to put Destrehan up for good.
After the teams traded field goals, Dunn hit Eric Johnson with a 71-yard TD pass to wrap up the scoring.
ZACHARY 22, WALKER 2: In Walker, Zachary scored all 22 points in the first half to improve to 3-6 overall and 2-3 in District 5-5A.
Mason Pace scored on a 4-yard run to put the Broncos up 8-0. Wendale Collins had a 3-yard scoring run to put Zachary up 15-0.
Pace hit Tony Clark with a 13-yard TD pass for the final Bronco score.
Walker (3-6, 0-6) got its only score when Zachary snapped the ball out of the end zone on a punt.
