Forward, Soph.

Cruthirds helped the Griffins dominate the competition by scoring 32 goals and distributing 12 assists. Also provided defensive depth by recovering on transition      sequences.

OFFENSIVE CO-MVP

Emily Cancienne

Baton Rouge High

Forward, Soph.

Cancienne tallied 35 goals and 17 assists for the Bulldogs in addition to providing tenacious defense.

OFFENSIVE CO-MVP

Mallory Jenkins

Runnels

Forward, Jr.

Jenkins led her team in scoring with 23 goals and six assists and led the Raiders to a district title and the Division III quarterfinals.

DEFENSIVE MVP

Megan Aultman

St. Jospeh

Defender, Jr.

Aultman, twice voted district MVP on defense for the Redstickers, was a catalyst as SJA won a district title.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Anthony Neeson

St. Michael

Neeson’s Warriors were 14-11-3 and ultimately topped all local teams by advancing to the Division II title match.

An offensive playmaker who played midfield and forward. Scored seven goals.

Melisa Dencausse

Mainstay for a stingy defense that carried team to a district title and state final.

Defender, So.

Anchored a defense that allowed only 1.2 goals per game and had 12 shutouts.

Claudia Flores

East Ascenion

Midfielder, Jr.

Helped lead Spartans to the playoffs with nine goals and a team-best 15 assists.

Callie Allbright

Baton Rouge High

Defender, So.

A sweeper who broke up attacks down the middle. Had eight goals and seven assists.

Erica Arnold

St. Amant

Forward, Jr.

Paced team with 25 goals and dished out six assists, along with 50 defensive steals.

Haley English

Dutchtown

Midfielder, Sr.

Played stopper role and consistently shut down penetrations to the center of the field.

Laura Poche

Dutchtown

Defender, Sr.

Played defender and midfielder for Griffins, finishing with five goals and nine assists.

Michaela Gaudin

East Ascension

Defender, Sr.

A leader for an EAHS defense that had 11 shutouts. Also had one goal and three assists.

Lana Ashford

Tara

Goalkeeper, Sr.

Led Tara to its third playoff berth. Finished her career with more than 600 saves.
