Central Private wins fourth consecutive title Closing out the Mississippi Private School Association’s Class 2A baseball championship took one swing of the bat Friday night. Thomas Bourgeois launched a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift Central Private School to a 6-4 victory against Marshall Academy to finish off a two-game sweep in the best-of-three series. Runnels Raiders top Zwolle for Class B crown ALEXANDRIA — The third time was the charm for the Runnels Raiders. Top-seeded Runnels, making its third straight trip to the Class B state baseball tournament at Bringhurst Field, broke through for an elusive state title with a 12-2 win over No. 2 Zwolle in five innings. The Raiders had previously won the Class C title in 1997.
