5:20 p.m. -- Georgia vs. Fresno State

Georgia, the SEC champion, plays Fresno State at 6 tonight in Game 1 of the championship series of the College World Series. The game will be on ESPN2.

Who's going to be watching? I will.

I had a brief conversation yesterday with Georgia coach David Perno yesterday at the airport (he was picking up his wife) and wished him well. I've always liked the way the Bulldogs play, and I like Perno's style. I think they'll continue to represent the SEC well, and having a more rested pitching staff than Fresno State won't hurt a bit.
