1 p.m. -- Tigers scheduled to land in B.R. about 3:15

OMAHA, Neb. -- The LSU Tigers left the Crowne Plaza shortly before noon for the airport. Their charter flight should be taking off now and arriving at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport around 3:15 p.m., team officials said.

The best place for fans to greet the Tigers and welcome them back home from the College World Series is Alex Box Stadium, LSU spokesman Bill Franques said. He said the team should arrive there at approximately 3:45.

They had a small band of supporters sending them home and wishing them well when they left the hotel.
