The LSU-North Carolina game in the College World Series has been suspended until 6:08 p.m. Friday, according to The Advocate's Carl Dubois.
The game was originally delayed by lightning at 6:27 p.m. CT tonight and heavy rain also fell during most of the evening. The decision on the suspension was made after a delay of 3 hours and 5 minutes.
The
College World Series schedule for the next two days has been moved back 24 hours. Friday's original schedule now moves to Saturday. Saturday takes up the Sunday off day that was a built-in rain catch-up day.
The best-of-three CWS championship series is still scheduled to begin Monday.
When the game resumes Friday night, North Carolina will be at the plate with a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the bases full of Tar Heels and one out.
