8:30 p.m. -- Southern Miss rolling

The No. 2-seeded Golden Eagles of Southern Miss hit three home runs for a five-run seventh inning and now lead No. 3-seeded UNO 13-6 as the teams head to the eighth inning at Alex Box Stadium.
The winner will play LSU at 6 p.m. Saturday for a berth in the championship round of the regional.
If it's Southern Miss, the Golden Eagles will pitch freshman right-hander Todd McInnis (6-2, 5.10) against one of two LSU junior left-handers up for the assignment: Ryan Verdugo (8-2, 3.61) or Blake Martin (5-3, 4.94).
UNO scored six runs in the sixth inning tonight, so don't think anything is set in stone yet.
OK, I have to get back to my stories for tomorrow's paper, but I wanted to give you an update.
