The top of the fourth put TSU's fourth hoop on the scoreboard. Earnest Rhone grounded out to D.J. LeMahieu, who made a strong throw from deep in the hole at shortstop, a much better throw than on his first-inning error that allowed Rhone to reach base.
Justin Holloway dropped a single inside the right-field foul line. Jordan Bush singled up the middle to put runners on first and second with one out for David James. He made the second out on a lazy fly to center field.
David Arredondo had a sea of gold rooting for him to strike out for the third out, and on a 1-2 pitch he obliged, swinging and missing.
LSU leads 4-0.
