AUBURN, Ala. -- It's a gorgeous Saturday in Auburn for the last day of the regular season.
The sky is a beautiful shade of baby blue. It's cool and breezy, but the sun will warm the players and fans up during the afternoon.
LSU is walking from the gate down the right-field line toward its dugout on the first-base side. Auburn is taking infield practice.
Game time is 2 p.m. CDT. There is no television coverage because of the SEC-TV Game of the Week at 3 today, Arkansas at Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss.
The Jumbo Sports Network, which produced the CST telecasts of the first two games of the LSU-Auburn series, asked Auburn to start today's game at noon -- to allow it to be televised -- but Auburn declined.
On Saturdays when there is an SEC-TV Game of the Week on Fox Sports Net, no other SEC game can be televised unless it starts at noon or earlier CDT or 6 p.m. or later CDT. The blackout of the LSU-Auburn game applies also to streaming video on the schools' respective Web sites.
I'll keep you up to date as best I can today.
Talk to you soon, probably when I get starting lineups.
