Remember, LSU hit 40 homers last season. The Tigers have 72 this season. That's a dramatic increase.
Of LSU's 72 homers, 42 have been solo shots. Thirty-five of the last 55 homers have come with nobody on base.
More recently, 14 of LSU's last 28 homers have been two-run shots. Three of the last nine home runs have been three-run homers, LSU's best run of three-run shots this season.
Twenty-one of the 72 home runs this season have been two-run homers. Seven have been three-run homers, and two have been grand slams.
