AUBURN, Ala. -- LSU had a chance to add to its lead in the ninth inning but couldn't make it happen.
Michael Hollander led off the inning with a triple. Jared Mitchell struck out. Derek Helenihi couldn't get the bunt down with Hollander coming from third, and Hollander was tagged out in a rundown for the second out.
Helenihi grounded out to first base.
LSU is three outs away from having a 14-game winning streak and being a win closer to winning the SEC West.
