AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn went right to work against LSU closer Jared Bradford in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring a run to make it a one-run game again.
Brian Fletcher singled to left field. He went to third on a Hunter Morris single to right.
Mike Bianucci struck out on three pitches.
Joseph Sanders tapped one between first and second for an RBI single, cutting LSU's lead to 5-4 and putting runners on first and second with one out.
Matt Hall hit a ground ball that popped out of Michael Hollander's glove at third base, and Hollander elected not to tag Morris, instead throwing to second for the force on Sanders. Morris kept running and beat the return throw, sliding into third for runners on the corners with two outs.
Paul Mainieri came out to argue, to no avail.
David Cunningham hit a ground ball that at first bounded away from shortstop D.J. LeMahieu, who picked it up and flipped to second base for the force out to end the inning.
