LSU BASEBALL BLOG

4:15 p.m. -- LSU wins 9-6

It's over. LSU won 9-6 to make it a 12-game winning streak to close out the home schedule at Alex Box Stadium.

A special postgame ceremony is about to begin. LSU expects more than 100 former players to join the current players in a victory lap around the field.

Was this the last game at The Box? We'll find out the day of the SEC tournament championship game, May 25, when the 16 regional sites are announced.

More later.

What a gret win, what a great streak!! The festivities at Alex Box would have certainly been lackluster if the team had been playing as poorly as they were three weeks ago. Instead, LSU Tiger Baseball's seemingly unlikely reversal has made this a truly joyous occasion. Good for them. This currrent team has really made honoring all the other teams and the stadium into a spectacularly memorable event. Big thanks to Coach Mainieri and his staff, the players, the fans, and of course AD Bertman and his staff, for making this day very special. Special thanks to you, Carl, for giving me a place to right about it. Geaux Tigers!! Keep The Streak ALIVE!!
