8:20 p.m. -- 12 SEC wins

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- At 12-11-1 in SEC play, LSU is in first place in the SEC West. The Tigers have also equaled their conference win total for the entire 2007 season.

That's with six SEC games left on the 2008 regular-season schedule for the Tigers.

Three of those games are next weekend against the overall 12th-place team, Mississippi State, and the other three games are the following week at 11th-place Auburn.

LSU was 12-17-1 last season in the SEC.

Anonymous is correct. LSU had last swept back-to-back SEC series in 1998, against Arkansas and Kentucky.
