LSU BASEBALL BLOG

4:05 p.m. -- Clark HR wins it

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Derek Helenihi, down to LSU's last strike, drew a two-out walk, and Matt Clark followed with a first-pitch homer well beyond the wall in right field to give the Tigers a 9-8 comeback victory and a sweep of Kentucky.

LSU has won nine consecutive games, including back-to-back SEC sweeps.

Sorry to make you wait for that, but I'm sure if you're an LSU fan you feel better getting late news about a victory rather than a defeat.

Jared Bradford pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth inning for LSU, giving him three appearances in two days and a win and two saves in the series.

More later and in Monday's editions of The Advocate.
