LEXINGTON, Ky. -- LSU regained the lead in the top of the fourth inning.
Matt Clark hit a double to right-center on the second pitch of the inning. D.J. LeMahieu hit a hard one-hop ground ball to the left of Kentucky third baseman Chris McClendon, who made a nice play to throw out LeMahieu at first base and keep Clark at second.
Leon Landry made the second out on a fly to the second baseman in short right field.
Ryan Schimpf worked Greg Dombrowski for a full count before dropping an RBI single into right field for a 3-2 lead. That prompted a mound visit as Michael Hollander waited for his turn.
Hollander made the third out on a ground ball to second base.
Random note: The Wildcats coaching staff tried to recruit LeMahieu and Sean Ochinko to Kentucky when they were in high school.
