LSU BASEBALL BLOG

1:06 p.m. -- It's 2-2

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- LSU's offense got busy again in the third inning, producing a run to tie the score.

Michael Hollander blooped a one-out single to left field. Jared Mitchell struck out to end an at-bat that seemed to last forever.

Blake Dean doubled down the right-field line to drive in Hollander for a 2-2 score, and Dean advanced to third on the throw, which was in time but not accurate enough to get Hollander at home plate.

Micah Gibbs walked to put runners on the corners with two outs for Derek Helenihi. He grounded out for the third out.

LSU 2, Kentucky 2 heading to the bottom of the third.
