Kentucky’s 81-55 win over LSU became even more dominant on paper, especially for Kentucky’s super freshmen, DeMarcus Cousins and John Wall.
The computer LSU used to compile statistics crashed during the second half of the game, causing the final box score to shortchange both teams in some statistical categories. It did not cause any problems with the scoring of the game.
LSU corrected the box Sunday.
Cousins was credited with one more rebound, giving him 14 to go with 19 points.
Wall had seven assists, up three from his original total of four.
LSU closed the gap a little in rebounding.
The original box score had the Tigers outrebounded 53-31. The corrected box had a 53-33 margin.
Also, Kentucky had one more blocked shot, eight instead of seven.
Solid day for Bass
One player who did compile good statistics for LSU was sophomore point guard Chris Bass.
He started at point guard and finished the Kentucky game with five points, four assists, no turnovers and a season-high seven rebounds in 31 minutes.
Bass also played pretty good defense against Wall, who was held to six points on 2-for-9 shooting.
The countdown continues
