LSU volleyball to host Auburn

The No. 20 LSU volleyball team has won 10 of its last 11 matches and takes on Auburn in a today at 1 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
The match will be televised live on CST.
LSU has strung together 25 consecutive victories over SEC Western Division opponents and opened a 4.5 match lead over second-place Auburn in the division race.
Sam Dabbs distributed a match-best 37 assists and fueled the Tigers to a .356 team hitting percentage when LSU swept Auburn (25-22, 25-20, 26-24) earlier this season.
Brittnee Cooper knocked 16 kills on a .542 hitting percentage to go along with five blocks in LSU’s 3-1 victory over Georgia on Friday.
Dabbs and Marina Skender also tallied double-doubles for the Tigers. Dabbs had 46 assists and added 13 digs, while Skender popped 13 kills and reeled in 16 digs. Lauren DeGirolamo had nine kills, 13 digs and four blocks.
Today’s match serves as Girls Scouts Day as scouts wearing their sash will receive free admission.

Women’s cross country
LSU FINISHES 11TH AT SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS: In Oxford, Miss., LSU finished 11th (335 points) in the 12-team field Saturday at the Southeastern Conference Championships held Saturday at the University Golf Course at Ole Miss.
Florida (24 points) won the team championship, followed by Tennessee (80 points) and Arkansas (87 points).
Florida’s Rebecca Lowe won the individual title, navigating the six-kilometer course in 20:57.35.
LSU’s top finisher was Charlene Lipsey (23:38.38) in 63rd. Other LSU finishers included: Katie Hamel (67th, 23:46.92); Laura Carleton (70th, 23:56.63); Jenna Henssler (85th, 24:48.51); Amal Esmail (92nd, 25:29.78); Lauren Ybarzabal (95th, 25:46.41); Amber Abbott (98th, 26:57.23) and Jessica Deutsch (101st, 29:18.29).
