The 16th-ranked LSU soccer team has an opportunity to win its third straight Southeastern Conference Western Division championship when it plays in Fayetteville, Ark., against Arkansas at 7 tonight.
The Tigers (11-4-3, 7-2-1 SEC) are second in overall league play with 22 points. Florida leads with 23 points. A win over the Razorbacks (8-6-4, 2-6-2 SEC) would also lock up at least the No. 2 seed in next week’s SEC Tournament.
The Tigers would clinch their first SEC championship with a win over Arkansas and a win or draw by South Carolina over Florida in those teams’ regular- season finale.
LSU, which is coming off a 1-0 win over South Carolina, is ranked No. 16 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll.
The Tigers have scored 23 goals in 10 conference matches, while limiting opponents to seven goals for a 0.68 goals against average.

“The short week to prepare has certainly changed our approach,” LSU coach Fran Flory said.
“We’re going to have to really mentally prepare because we won’t have the time on the court that we’re used to having to game plan.”

Marina Skender leads the Tigers (16-5, 10-2 SEC) with 263 kills and her 4.07 kills per set are fourth-best in the SEC.
Sam Dabbs is distributing 10.95 assists per set, second best in the SEC.
