Scott wins SEC offensive award
LSU running back Charles Scott is the SEC's Offensive Player of the Week.
Scott, a 5-foot-11, 235-pound junior from Saline, rushed for 132 yards on 21 carries and added 15 receiving yards in the Tigers' 26-21 victory at Auburn on Saturday night.
Scott is the first LSU player to have three consecutive games rushing for 100 or more yards since Joseph Addai in 2005. Scott, who averaged 6.3 yards per carry, is the first LSU running back to eclipse the 100-yard mark at Auburn.
Other SEC award winners this week are Vanderbilt free safety Ryan Hamilton (Defensive), Florida's Brandon James (Special Teams), Alabama's Andre Smith (Offensive Lineman), Ole Miss' Peria Jerry (Defensive Lineman) and Georgia's A.J. Green (Freshman).
