LSU volleyball to play at McNeese

After having its Tiger Classic at home canceled because of Hurricane Gustav, the 24th-ranked LSU volleyball team will participate in the McNeese Invitational in Lake Charles this weekend.

Several schedule changes have been made since it was originally released.

The Tigers’ matches in this tournament will include matches at 2 p.m. today with Nicholls State and host McNeese State at 7 p.m. Saturday.

As a result of the schedule changes, the Tigers will not play Sunday against Southern Miss.

LSU is coming off a 2-1 performance in the Bluejay Invitational hosted by Creighton in Omaha, Neb., last weekend.

Two LSU women’s tennis players are ranked in the top 15 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s preseason rankings released Thursday.

Two-time All-American Megan Falcon checks in at No. 15 in the singles rankings while Falcon and fellow senior Mykala Hedberg are ranked No. 11 in the doubles rankings.
