As of Wednesday night LSU announced all systems “go” for its football season opener vs. Appalachian State at 4 p.m. Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva attended a meeting Wednesday afternoon with Gov. Bobby Jindal and the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness as officials continued to monitor the progress of Tropical Storm Gustav. LSU officials will continue to monitor the situation with state and local officials. Any changes will be announced in the news media and on LSUsports.net.
