Brought to you by the WBRZ Sports 2 Louisiana Team, the Fans' Choice Award was developed in 1995 with the help of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association. Fans’ Choice takes an interactive approach to high school football, where the fans are asked to nominate and vote for the week’s best high school football athlete from the Baton Rouge area.

Coaches, players and fans are encouraged to watch WBRZ News 2 Louisiana at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. beginning Monday, Sep. 15. Fans will be able to nominate their favorite player beginning Mondays at 6 p.m. until noon on Tuesday. Voting on the top three nominees will begin Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and will run until noon on Wednesday. The winner will be announced during the sports segment of WBRZ News 2 Louisiana at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
