The high school football season began in earnest Friday night as jamborees around the area were played.
The 60th annual Coca-Cola/EBR Kickoff Classic took place at three venues — Memorial Stadium, Olympia Stadium and Woodlawn High.
The South Baton Rouge Jamboree was held at Parkview Baptist and the LeBlanc’s Ascension-Livingston Challenge was at East Acension High.
The All-Catholic Jamboree was played at Redemptorist and the Central Jamboree at Central High School.
