METAIRIE — For the last two weeks, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush was certain he was ready to return to the field after missing two games following arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Oct. 20.
But after being limited in practice early in the week, Bush was inactive for games at Kansas City and Monday night against Green Bay.
This week will be different, Bush said, after working on a limited basis when the Saints practiced for the first time since Monday night’s 51-29 blowout of the Packers.
“I’m definitely a go this week,” Bush said as the Saints began preparing for Sunday’s crucial game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium. “I know I said that last week, but it’s definitely a go this week. I felt good today.
“Obviously, I didn’t do a whole practice today. But I did a little bit here and there, kind of easing back into it. But I feel great, the leg feels great. It’s the best it’s felt since I injured it.”
When asked if he was 100 percent certain that he would be able to make the cuts he usually makes, Bush said, “I wouldn’t be playing this game if I wasn’t able to do that. I’m 100 percent certain I’ll be able to do everything that I was doing before I was injured.”
Said Saints coach Sean Payton: “He’s gonna play.”

Saints rookie defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis made YouTube on Wednesday for his celebratory Pee-wee Herman dance after sacking Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the fourth quarter on Monday night.
“It was just something I did messing around with some of the guys on the offensive line,” Ellis said Wednesday. “I was joking around with them and told them I was going to do it. I was really just joking, and they were like, ‘You should really do it.’ ”
So he did, in front of a national TV audience.
“It was very creative, it came out of the woodwork,” said defensive end Bobby McCrary, who watched from few feet away. “I’ve never seen anybody do that on a football field.”
“Sedrick said he was going to do it the first time he got a sack (earlier in the season), but he didn’t,” offensive tackle Jammal Brown said with a smile. “I knew this time it was coming out, and I loved it … I loved it.”
