Perrilloux status unknown
LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux’s playing status is still unknown tonight, WBRZ reported on its 6 and 10 p.m. broadcasts.
What is known, according to LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette, is that Perrilloux has NOT completed the tasks Coach Les Miles laid out for Perrilloux to get back his practice privileges.
The quarterback was suspended earlier this year for failing to follow team rules. While the suspension is over, Perrilloux was not at practice yesterday and it’s not clear that he’ll play in Saturday’s spring game.
Also, there are conflicting statements about a possible incident involving Perrilloux Sunday night.
An LSU administrator has told WBRZ the quarterback was involved in an incident at a local restaurant, but assistant manager Jordan Green, who was on duty at the Kona Grill, says there was no incident.
A story that ran in The Advocate on Wednesday also quoted the restaurant manager as disputing radio and television accounts from Tuesday implicating Perrilloux in the alleged incident.
In a report published on WWL radio's Web site today, Michael Lawless, district manager for the Baton Rouge location, Wednesday said that Perrilloux was in fact asked to leave the restaurant Sunday night.
There is no police report of any problem at the restaurant Sunday.
