The Southern University softball team will play Texas Southern University on ESPNU on Friday, April 4 in Houston.
This will be the first time that the Southern softball team, which is the four-time defending Western Division Southwestern Athletic Conference champion, has played on any of the ESPN networks.
Southern has played games on Cox Sports Television in both live and tape-delayed games.
The game with TSU will be played live at 1 p.m. CST at Memorial Field Park field number one.
“We are really excited about the opportunity to play on any of the ESPN family of networks,” coach Nancy Marshall said. “We have experience playing on television so the adjustment will be easy for us.”
The game can be seen locally on Cox digital cable channel 243 or on Direct TV channel 609.
