LSU-Arkansas gets Friday nod again
In what has become an annual event, LSU's 2008 football game against Arkansas in Little Rock, Ark., has been moved to the day after Thanksgiving.
The Tigers and Razorbacks will square off at 1:30 p.m. in War Memorial Stadium in a nationally televised contest. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 29.
LSU and Arkansas have met on the Friday after Thanksgiving 12 straight years with the Tigers winning eight of those games. The 2008 game between the Tigers and the Hogs will be televised by CBS for the 12th consecutive season.
Last year, Arkansas posted a 50-48 triple-overtime win over LSU in Tiger Stadium. LSU leads the overall series with Arkansas, 33-18-2, which includes a 10-6 record against the Razorbacks since they joined the SEC in 1992.
The winner of the LSU-Arkansas game has gone on to represent the SEC Western Division in the league's championship game four times in the past seven years.
