East Baton Rouge Parish has full-service acute-care hospitals, as well as a number of specialized hospitals and multi-practice clinics.

The following are some of the full-service hospitals in East Baton Rouge Parish:

• Baton Rouge General Medical Center Mid City, 3600 Florida Blvd., and Baton Rouge General Medical Center Bluebonnet, 8585 Picardy Ave., are community-owned, not-for-profit, full-service hospitals.

The General is the only hospital in the region with a burn unit, offering services for pediatric and adult burn patients.

• LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center, 5825 Airline Highway, is a state-run, acute care medical facility serving residents in East Baton Rouge Parish and seven surrounding parishes.
• Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, 5000 Hennessy Blvd., provides services in more than 60 medical specialties including pediatrics, cardiology, oncology and surgery.
• Lane Regional Medical Center, 6300 Main St., Zachary, is a 137-bed primary-care facility providing a full range of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiology, rehab and home-health services.
• Ochsner Medical Center Baton Rouge, 17000 Medical Center Drive, is a 200-bed hospital offering a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient services, including cardiopulmonary, emergency, oncology, radiology and imaging, and surgery, as well as five local health centers.
• Woman’s Hospital, 9050 Airline Highway, is a women’s specialty hospital that includes pediatric subspecialty clinics, physical therapy, occupational therapy and educational classes. Woman’s Hospital is the only hospital in Louisiana to be named by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the “100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare” as well as the only hospital in Baton Rouge to achieve Magnet status.

Baton Rouge has many multi-specialty clinics including a public health unit, a public mental-health facility and a “virtual” clinic.

• The NeuroMedical Center offers the region’s largest team of experts solely focused on specialized care for the brain, spine and nervous system, including surgery and rehab.
• Another specialized facility is Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, 4950 Essen Lane, which provides state-of-the-art cancer treatment to 18 parishes throughout southeast Louisiana. In the capital region, Mary Bird Perkins partners with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and St. Elizabeth hospital in Gonzales.
• The Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic provides dental, medical, mental-health and vision-care services to qualified uninsured, low-income working adults. Patients are assigned to the nearly 500 participating providers and are seen in their private offices. For more information, call (225) 769-3377.
• The East Baton Rouge Public Health Unit,  353 N. 12th St., is run by the state and provides immunizations and other services.
