June 20: Textiles on the Plantation – Audubon State Historic Site. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Demonstration on the use of the plantation’s original weaving loom.

June 27: Audubon Summer Festival – Audubon State Historic Site. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Visitors may step into a Civil War setting and visit a soldier’s camp. There will be hands-on period demonstrations.

July

July 24-25: Feliciana Hummingbird Celebration – Rosedown Plantation State Historic Site, 12501 La. 10. 6 p.m. reception on Friday. Admission is $10.

On July 25 from 7 a.m.-3 p.m., hummingbird biologists Linda Beall and Nancy Newfield will capture and band birds at two private gardens. A $5 fee covers admission to both gardens.
