HELP
How to submit photos to the Advocate
Photos can be submitted via the following:
- In person: Drop off at
- By mail:
- Through e-mail to:
- People@theadvocate.com
- Magazine@theadvocate.com
- Fun@theadvocate.com
- Business@theadvocate.com
- Religion@theadvocate.com
- Food@theadvocate.com
- Obits@theadvocate.com
Include relevant information:
- Submissions should include the following (when applicable):
- Who: Please properly identify subjects in photos with correct spellings and affiliations, including where they are from, if applicable.
- What: Please give a short description of the circumstances under which the photo was taken.
- When: Include the date the photo was taken.
- Where: Include the place and city.
- Obituary photos submitted via hard copy must have first and last name written on back.
- Photo submissions MUST include a contact name and phone number in case there is a question or to verify information.
Format:
- Hard-copy photos may be submitted in black & white or color.
- Digital images must be at least 220 dpi at a given size. Eg., a 5x7 photo should be X megs.
- Digital images must be in a JPEG format.
- Digital cameras: 4 megapixels or higher, on the highest-quality setting (fine).
