Our Views: A resolution to kick habit
In this holiday season as in others, a lot of people are going to make New Year’s resolutions to quit smoking. Making good on those resolutions should carry special urgency in Louisiana, where more than one-fourth of all Louisiana residents smoke, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Every year, tobacco use costs Louisiana $1.15 billion in direct medical expenditures, according to a report from the CDC.

- Ask family, friends and co-workers for their help and support.
