SU starts providing H1N1 vaccinations
The H1N1 flu vaccine will be administered at Southern University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Wednesday, a university spokesman said Sunday in a news release.
Southern University spokesman Edward Pratt said the vaccine will be administered each day in the F.G. Clark Activity Center. The vaccinations are for university employees and students only.
Shirley Wade, director of Southern’s Baranco-Hill Student Health Center, is managing the vaccination effort. People considered to be in high-risk categories by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be the first group to receive the vaccinations.
This is the first phase of vaccinations on the Baton Rouge campus.
