Napoleonville couple indicted in molestation
GONZALES — An Ascension Parish grand jury has indicted a Napoleonville man and his wife in connection with the rape and molestation of a 10-year-old girl, prosecutors said Thursday.
Timothy Randazzo Jr., 23, and Paige Randazzo, 28, 107 La. 403, Napoleonville, were indicted Wednesday, authorities said.
The grand jury indicted Timothy Randazzo with molestation of a juvenile and aggravated rape, and indicted Paige Randazzo with molestation of a juvenile and as being an accessory after the fact to aggravated rape, according to Assistant District Attorney Trent Garrett of the 23rd Judicial District.
Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputies also arrested Timothy Randazzo last month in connection with the molestation of a 4-year-old girl, Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Thursday.
Deputies arrested the Randazzos on Aug. 18 in the incident with the then-10-year-old girl, Lt. Col. Paul Robert, sheriff’s chief of criminal operations, said Friday.
He said Ascension Parish deputies arrested Paige Randazzo on the charge of being an accessory after the fact because investigators believe she was aware of the alleged rape by her husband and did nothing about it.
Timothy Randazzo remained in the Ascension Parish Jail on Thursday and the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office has a hold placed on him, Waguespack said.
Randazzo has not been booked yet on the Assumption Parish charge, Waguespack said.
