There are plenty of ways to celebrate Independence Day, including these events today.

Baton Rouge

STAR-SPANGLED CELEBRATION: Downtown at the riverfront. Live music, food, military aircraft flyover, mock battle between WWII aircraft and USS Kidd, ends with 9 p.m. fireworks show.

Clinton

RED, WHITE AND BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., downtown, amusements, game booths, blueberries and blueberry products, posters and information on the courthouse lawn. Monthly community market with more than 100 vendors, and blueberry cooking contest at Feliciana Harvest Church, 9 a.m. and winners announced at 11 a.m.

Denham Springs

MUSICAL CELEBRATION: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Denham Springs Train Station. Performers include Haley Johnson and Kassy Sanchez, the Vocalairs, Odyssey Dance Academy and more. Special features include the Art Council’s art booth, the tricycle parade, the Fire Department’s Smoke House, a tribute in song to veterans and a special tribute to America’s service dogs with the patriotic dog costume fashion show. Free.

Erath

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION: Downtown, carnival rides, music, food, fireworks at 9 p.m.

Eunice

FIREWORKS ON THE PRAIRIE: 9 p.m. at Eunice Recreation Complex, 461 Sittig St.

Krotz Springs

FIREWORKS ON THE RIVER:  Nall Park, 562 Front St. JC Melancon and band perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
