Psychiatrist arrested on child porn counts

COVINGTON — Deputies arrested a psychiatrist Thursday accused of downloading pornographic images of children on his computer, the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.
Deputies seized the computer of Dr. Steven Taylor, 68, 420 First Ave. E., Covington, and found 107 images of nude children under age 17, according to a written statement from the Sheriff’s Office.
At this time, investigators don’t believe the images are of local children, deputies said.
Taylor was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail on 107 counts of child pornography, deputies said.
